Fucked

At the start of the week, the game was essentially unplayable. Your weapons would overlap and you'd be firing multiple of them at the same time, you'd get stuck in spectator mode, you'd have non-stop errors.

A lot of this fell under the rug - most of the problems only happened when you were not the host, and we weren't testing properly. We will do better.
I spent this quarter's hack week entirely on Nicked - unfucking it and improving it to an acceptable state.

I fixed the most annoying bugs, and I added a bunch of small improvements from feedback from the community and internally. It's in a much better state now.
The game boomed a bit. We had just shy of 1k unique players on Tuesday, which is mostly because of our steam store page soft-launch. It was also the 4th most played game during the week.

The graph on the left shows errors, which correlates directly with all these players. It's safe to say that even with the drop in players, the errors dropped even more.

We're no longer using Razor for the crosshair. It's made writing this crosshair easy and it's got more features.

I was balancing all of the weapon audio because it was super fucked. So I made a tool that lets me test out sounds in the editor without having to jump in.

I'm gonna keep plodding away at the game. It's pretty fun once you have a group playing. I think s&box needs these kind of games, simple, generic, fun. We're not doing anything super crazy here yet.

The next few weeks I'm still going to focus on bugfixing and stability, ensuring the game works end-to-end every single time you play. Only then, will we add more stuff in a big way. I'm going to be hosting some playtests, because they have proven absolutely invaluable to iteration.. so keep an eye out!

I'm going to work on more stats and achievements inbetween, because the game needs more reasons to hop in and play.
