Going fast with the Speed Die


We are very proud to announce the release of a new update. From the last news post you may remember reading about the Speed Die.


Among other bug fixes, the Speed Die is now finally ready and pushed to production.



Let me introduce you to the Speed Die, a useful companion for fast monopoly rounds.

Enabling the Speed Die in the Game Settings does exactly two things: First, you'll notice another die on your playing field, that doesn't do anything. And second you'll see, that Starting Money is now $2500 and not $1500 anymore.

Passing Go for the first time will enable the Die for you. It now rolls together with the other dice, but may change the default turn behavior up a bit. Among the 6 Faces of the Die you'll find the Numbers 1 - 3, two walking People and one Bus. 

The Numbers  act just like any other number and add their value to the total amount of fields you're moving forward. However, they don't count into throwing doubles. 

The Walking Person symbolizes a Bonus Move. After moving for the first time and completing your action on the field you landed on, you move a second time. This time however, you move to the next unsold road. If there are no unsold fields left, you move to the next field, where you have to pay money to another player.

And the last Face is The Bus. The Bus allows you to select the die, whose rolled amount you want to move. You either select one of the dice, or the amount of both of them and therefore move the normal amount of fields.


But what about triples? As of right now, triples aren't implemented. They will become a feature in future updates though, so stay tuned for that.
