Visual Scripting Coming Soon!
The internals are virtually complete, we just need to add the UI.
It will eventually be just as powerful as something like Action Graph.
Due to several setbacks(that's life) we are not able deliver this feature before the tech jam due date. We are still working on delivering during the judging period though, along with an example level showing it off.
"Play, edit, make, share."
Don't know what you're doing? Good!
The Vidya Editor is meant to be like Happy Wheels/Garry's Mod on crack, taking full advantage of s&box's UGC features. We're trying to strike the perfect balance between ease of use and powerful features. It's the spirit of Sandbox using the power of s&box.
It's like Happy Wheels where you'll be able to browse fun creative user-made levels with ease, and also like GMod where you don't need any technical ability to just plop down some models/entities/weapons you downloaded and mess around on those levels(but without having to reload!).
That sounds fun, sure, but what if you want to do more? Then it's also like using the official s&box editor, with the ability to add/configure a suite of components on objects in a hierarchy. We'll soon have visual scripting so if we don't have a component that does what you want, you can just do it yourself!
Custom UGC Platform
There is already a functional online level browser where you can play/share user-made levels using this tool, but we plan to take that a few steps further.
We want you to be able to search/save/share prefabs and scripts too! You really won't need to have any idea what the heck you're doing if someone's already made the stuff for you, and you can use them as-is or thoroughly tweak them while having little to no understanding of what's actually going on.
