NOTE: This was built as a Walker map, but it seems the game is broken in a way that won't allow "scenemaps" to load into that game mode. No one has been able to provide a solution, or even an idea of how to fix it. So, if you want to use this map, you need to grab it from the Cloud Browser in the editor for use in your own project.
At least until Facepunch, or anyone can either fix it or provide some documentation on how to make the map load properly within Walker.
Created as a throwback to the first days of the Half-Life 2 Deathmatch days, when people were first getting their hands on Hammer for Source.
The open and vertical nature could lead to some interesting gameplay when used in a shooter style game, or it could be adapted into a more social space, with lots of little areas for people to hang out.
I've always been a sucker for emissive materials, and have used them to light most the map. Even without a sun light, or HDRI, the lighting from the "strip lights" can make things visible, thanks to the real-time lighting in s&box.
I believe there's only 10 materials used in total, including the skybox HDRI.
I released this with all the source files so users are free to take it apart, adapt it, extend it, or go into Hammer and use all the instanced parts to use in their own maps.
