After a few days I've managed to get a leaderboard and a persistent score. Eventually items will be locked and you'll be able to spend score to unlock them, but for now I'm too lazy. Here's the scoreboard thanks to Carson, Braxen, and Bubbies in the discord.

I'm pretty proud of the hover effects and everything. Your score just gets stored in a local file so go edit it to look cool, I can't stop you.

I added some sounds and hover effects to various elements, I really like the transform property in css now.
