I when I first tried this out in the early days of its release I absolutely loved the concept but holy absolute sh@# I hate this.
I would honestly prefer to go back to Getting over It with Bennett Foddy than play this anymore! qnq
Like honestly, why are there no checkpoints? Why does the jumping feel so jank as f@#$ feeling like you can never get the right amount of height and distance (and trust me, I had a million attempts at one slanted air-vent/pipe section and it was absolutely insane how every time I held it for what felt like the right amount of time just either was not enough or too much) and not just that but the bs rebound of the walls at the end is so f@#$ed.
I had to use a cheese strat to get as far as I did (which honestly probably is on technicality an exploit) but that was the one saving grace for getting to where I am.
I genuinely think some system should be implemented for having checkpoints, even if it means after completion you can beat it on extra hard mode with no checkpoints.
Atleast then its not such an effort for someone who wants to experience the climb and ending without having to go through the mass amounts of pain.
Also additionally if you really wanted to be cruel to the achievement hunters than add that as an achievement.
If you want to help people with the jumping, add a jump meter to help give people a better understanding on where they are going wrong with their jumps because the animations aren't enough (could also be apart of the extra hard mode to not have the jump meter).
This has caused me serious grief and pain, more so that I am one not to quit nor rage quit for that fact however I have to step away from it because the game window f@#$ing minimised as I jumped screwing me over and making me lose soooo much progress which sucks because I have put way to much time into getting to that point and now I have to do it all over again.
