How it started
I originally started working on Jumpy about 2 years ago on a much older, much less mature version of S&box. The ultimate goal was simple, make a multiplayer variation of Frogger.
It progressed nicely into something that looks similar to how it is now.
Where it went
After a while I decided to check on the game and noticed it was completely broken due to engine updates with S&box. So I gave it a fresh coat of paint and made it playable again!
It included new car models, road variants, lillypads, improved lighting and more.
Annnnd then about two days later it was broken again, due to the massive scene system update that S&box got. 🐸
Current state
I saw the announcement for the game jam and didn't immediately think of Jumpy, I actually toyed with a couple different ideas first, and then unfortunately didn't the time to dedicate to any of them.
Until this past Friday when I decided to work all weekend on an entry. With my limited time I thought, why not Jumpy? It barely got any time to be played!
So that's what I did. I learned a ton about the new scene system and after a bit of time Jumpy was once again playable!
With new scene component based particle effects, lighting and post-processing, and other scene related goodness.
It's out now, so make sure to check it out and maybe give it a rating too! 🐸
