We completely redesigned the quest HUD to make objectives clearer and easier to read.
Each goal is now better separated, more visible, and fully supports progress-based tasks (like collecting or reaching amounts).
The result: a cleaner, more beautiful interface that makes every step of your candy-making journey feel rewarding.
Say hello to a brand-new tutorial experience!
Every time you discover a new feature, a dedicated tutorial modal now pops up to introduce the concept.

We also fixed layout and overlap issues in the “What’s New” modal to keep everything tidy and readable.
All in-game panels have been visually refreshed!
Cleaner lines, better spacing, and smoother transitions bring a modern touch to Candy Factory’s interface —
making the whole experience prettier, clearer, and more intuitive to navigate.
We’ve optimized the map and improved asset handling across the board.
Expect shorter load times, smoother gameplay, and a more stable frame rate — even in the busiest factory setups.
The early-game flow has been completely reworked.
You now begin directly inside your family’s factory, with a short cinematic that sets the tone.
From there, you’ll meet Bob, your grandfather’s old friend, who becomes your mentor throughout the adventure.
The dialogue system has been rebuilt from scratch!
It now features voice-overs, multiple-choice answers, and smooth transitions —
allowing you to truly connect with Bob and shape your own experience in the factory.
The camera has been reworked to feel more natural and cinematic.
It now sits slightly over the shoulder, providing a smoother, more immersive perspective.
Switching between first and third person is now seamless and fluid.

We've added a new mechanic to make factory management more dynamic: production machines can now randomly break down during operation. When a machine breaks, it stops working completely—no more processing or item exchanges until it's fixed.

To repair a broken machine, simply approach it with a wrench in hand. Press the interaction key (default E) to start the repair. You'll see a repair animation, hear the sounds of your work, and the machine will be back up and running. This feature adds urgency and teamwork to factory management—keeping your production line running smoothly now requires quick reactions !

You can find the wrench on the tool board in your factory. Simply grab it and keep it in hand when you need to repair a machine.

To simplify save management and strengthen immersion, we've consolidated saves into a single slot: when you load the game your progress is restored automatically and you spawn directly inside your factory. No more juggling multiple slots or navigating extra menus — you jump straight back into production and pick up where you left off. This streamlines onboarding for new players, reduces potential save-related errors, and creates a smoother, more immediate experience when returning to your candy empire. A new button has been added to the escape menu that will allow you to reset your current game save if for whatever reason you would like to reset it.
We’ve added dynamic visual storage throughout your factory: boxes visibly fill up more and more as you add items, and new shelves appear as you upgrade your storage capacity. This means you can tell stock levels at a glance—spot shortages, overflows, without opening menus—so you can react faster and stay focused on optimizing your production.
