Update 0.2.0 Alpha

By
le camel
Version 0.2.0 alpha has been released today, August 31st, in Cubit Tower Defense!

Some of the changes include:
-Targeting options for your towers (First, Last, Strongest, Weakest)
-Your towers now display useful stats like damage dealt and enemies killed
-Performance improvements (who would've guessed particles eat so many frames?)
-A chat box in multiplayer
-Unique player colors in multiplayer
-x2 speed option in singleplayer
-Ability to restart the game without creating a new lobby in the new pause menu (press ESC)
-A new alert system to notify you of important information (let's just say you won't get surprised by those pesky Ninja cubes anymore!)

We'd like to thank you all again for your valuable feedback.

What's next..?

I'll keep it short and sweet, because we have lots on our mind.

More Towers. More Maps. More multiplayer game modes. Experience systems. Tower selection options. More cubes.

We'd also like to make it more transparent what the upgrade paths are for each tower; some people have complained that they don't know which towers unlock stealth, for example.

For a quick reference until we figure out how to be more transparent about a tower's abilities, the Tier 2+ Turret and Tier 3 Tesla ray currently are the only towers with stealth detection.

In essence, we want to do the best we can to add content to the game to make the gameplay more enjoyable.

It's been great to hear that mostly everyone thinks the game is positive despite its lack of content. The last two weeks of development has been tough but very rewarding.

Please continue giving us your great feedback.
