Ghoul Grounds game · Today Shows Promise
Cool Black Ops Zombies vibe and amazing visuals, but the gameplay loop currently lasts only for about 30 minutes. PERFORMANCE: The mode runs well on Low settings but lags on Medium (GTX 1070, i5-9400, 16GB RAM), so it needs optimization for higher presets. Controls feel a bit clunky but tolerable. CONTENT: There is only 1 map, weapon selection is scarce, points accumulate too fast, and there are no perks or skills. Reaching wave 7 feels like the absolute ceiling for solo players; it's okay for 2 to 4 players, but after that, it gets way too difficult. MULTIPLAYER: The player base is practically non-existent, meaning there are absolutely no players online. You can't toggle Solo/MP, it forces a public lobby. There are no teamwork mechanics, so random players leave immediately after the first match. If you add more maps, weapons, progression, and real co-op interaction, I would happily replay this mode!

I really want to see this mode and S&box as a whole succeed, so I want to share some feedback to help improve the experience. 1. Controls & Feel Movement: The character feels a bit too shaky and uncomfortable to control. It's hard to focus on building or creating scenes when you don't fully feel your character. Noclip: It would be great to have a feature like in Garry’s Mod, where you can slow down your speed by holding CTRL while in noclip. Ragdolls: Right now, working with ragdolls feels a bit frustrating. They are quite tedious to manipulate and don't feel responsive enough. 2. Weapons & Combat Gunplay: The weapons don't feel satisfying or impactful enough to shoot. Visual Effects: For me, the bullet impact effects (dust on the walls) look very bright gray and unnatural. It feels like you are shooting chunks of stone rather than firing a real weapon. NPCs: There are only a few basic NPCs, and destroying them feels a bit dull. Sometimes killing an NPC even throws a console error. More satisfying combat and better gore/blood would make a huge difference. 3. Customization & Content Models & Arms: The default "veiny" hands look a bit off, and it's a shame I can't change them. It would be amazing to have more playermodels or deeper character customization (like face editing) instead of just relying on accessories to express ourselves. Lack of Activities: Currently, it's hard to find things to do. Even if you want to build a scene, the combination of limited assets and stiff controls makes it difficult. 4. Performance & Optimization FPS Drops: The game suffers from stutters and lag even on the lowest graphical settings. My Specs: GTX 1070, Intel Core i5-9400f @ 2.90GHz, 16 GB RAM. With this setup, the game should run smoothly on low settings, so it seems like the mode needs better optimization. I know the game and the community content need time to grow, but I hope this feedback helps. Looking forward to future updates!
