Around the beginning of September, we here at Vidya Games decided to take SWOLECEROR to the next level, past the original Game Jam version and into something more pleasant and enjoyable.

Game-Jam Post Mortem
We did our best during the limited jam time to make SWOLECEROR a great game, but there was a lot we still wanted to fix and change in order to make it something fun! So, over the last 15 days, our developers, primarily JACCURATE, domestik8, and myself, decided to make SWOLECEROR something we can be more proud of.

New Updates
There are significant changes to the map and game balance, HUD improvements, bug fixes, new crisper visuals and lighting, and overall everything is a much more pleasant experience.

GAME FISH VERSION
In addition to these changes, this is the official announcement post for an even bigger update to SWOLECEROR.
This update is currently in the pipeline with no planned date, but it will be a whole new game, drastically changing the gameplay and adding multiplayer utilizing the Game Fish framework in cooperation with
Small Fish.

Stay tuned for more updates about this new, Game Fish augmented version of SWOLECEROR in the coming months.
  • The Evil King now has a visible healthbar and the fight ends instantly when his health is reduced to zero.
  • Ending credits have been improved and now play a special variant of the theme song.
  • Visual issues with the player's healthbar has been fixed and there is now an effect when the player takes damage.
  • The map has been overhauled, with a new more sensible layout, and the arena fights have been tweaked in difficulty and duration.
  • There is now a HUD element for the main objectives of the game.
  • The PUNCH HAS BEEN BUFFED.
  • The ugly grass texture has been improved.
  • The map now has lighting instead of being essentially unlit.
  • All appropriate textures and sprites should have point filtering, giving them that nice crispy pixel look.
  • Visuals in general have been tweaked and improved and some new decorations have been added.
  • The flute frog has been moved to somewhere more secret.
  • Many texture and particle fixes and other small visual details improved and fixed.
  • Issues with the new October version of S&box have been fixed.
  • Urns have a visual and audio indicator when they spawn, making it more obvious you have to smash those motherfuckers.
  • Projectiles are more effective when thrown - should be far less 'glancing blows', and the Dumbells and Maxwells have been buffed.
  • New Skybox by domestik8
  • Some music tracks by JACCURATE have been modified - make sure to check out the soundtrack on Spotify if you like it (although the spotify version does not include the changes yet)

⚠️ Known Issues
  • Particles don't have impact sounds
  • Pause menu and other menus still kinda suck
  • Enemies killed by objects do not make a sick splat noise
  • Some goblins in the dungeon don't seem to path towards the player when they spawn
  • Some torches in the dungeon are out of position
