I'm wondering if single-player games are still in vogue with the community.
Everyone I know plays multiplayer all the time. And games with a story, with a good immersion, it's literally a matter of 5-6 hours and that's it, then it's all the same for the game. Achievements or Challenges or extra quests, it's all the same. And they never come in again.
My friends and I are thinking about finishing Make Your Own Game (you remember we cut 70% of the content), while we're even more inspired by The Stanley Parable and The Beginner's Guide
But you were saying making something similar to Stanley parable? Maybe it could be a singleplayer/multiplayer where you don't have to have friends to play, but you can have friends though.
And I generally prefer singleplayer games. Fun in them is not dependent on your internet or available friends or the teamwork of your team vs the other team.
Plus, stories in singleplayer games can be really unforgettable and unique, whereas there usually isn't a story in multiplayer games.
