A semi-serious CityRP experience for S&box, built around player-driven storytelling, structured systems, and creative freedom.

Inspired by classic CityRP on Garry's Mod, this is a complete ground-up recreation designed to modernize the formula while preserving what made it work. The focus is on meaningful interaction, not chaos. Players are expected to engage in consistent roleplay, avoid low-effort behavior (RDM, trolling, etc.), and contribute to a shared, evolving environment.

Step into a living sandbox where roles like police, criminals, business owners, and civilians all intersect. There is no fixed storyline. The experience is shaped in real time by player decisions, active roles, and how situations unfold. From law enforcement responding to crime, to underground operations growing, to player-run businesses emerging, the world evolves based on who is playing and how they choose to engage.

The game features a wide range of core systems, including jobs, economy, identity, and group mechanics, alongside a prop-based building system inspired by classic sandbox gameplay. Players can create their own setups, from storefronts to operations, adding another layer of creativity and strategy to how they play.

About 10% of the planned features are currently implemented, with many more actively in development. What you are playing now is a strong foundation that will continue to expand rapidly with new systems, improvements, and content.

Staff-driven events and scenarios are planned to introduce dynamic situations into the world while still preserving player agency and sandbox freedom.

This project is being built alongside its community. Feedback, bug reports, and ideas directly shape development, and players are encouraged to take an active role in helping define what CityRP becomes.  Join our Discord to get involved, share feedback, and stay up to date: https://discord.com/invite/YcKYjjm9Gy
