I’m writing on behalf of Jagex Limited regarding a game listed on sbox.game, Meldrune Idle (https://sbox.game/code/meldoridle).
Jagex is the publisher of Melvor Idle (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1267910/Melvor_Idle/) and owner of associated trade marks worldwide, including:
MELVOR IDLE, US trade mark registration no. 79358519
The ‘M’ figurative mark shown below, US trade mark registration no. 79353651
Meldrune Idle (which we note from the url was originally named “Meldor Idle”) infringes Jagex’s trade mark registrations for MELVOR IDLE, and the logo used for the game appears to be an AI-generated copy of the M figurative mark.
Additionally, the developer of Melvor Idle, Games By Malcs Pty Ltd, is the owner of all copyright in the game and its assets, including the M figurative mark. Based on the listing on Sbox, Meldrune Idle appears to be a crude copy of Melvor Idle and infringes that copyright.
As a consequence, Meldrune Idle infringes both your IP Policy and paragraph 3.1.viii of your Terms of Service. I’d be grateful if you could arrange for its removal from Sbox.
