# Tooling for My Newbies

Hey guys, I will be teaching S&Box in a bootcamp and private courses here in Jordan in the coming months. I also am working with less-technical devs in current projects. So I wanted a "One-Size-Fits-All" organized folder setup with some small scripts to give anyone the best start possible.

## Content is ...

Here's a small list of what I have contributed to this repo:

 - Scripts! Actually ... to start it's all most just scripts. Scripts that MOSTLY do a "Git clone foobar".
 - Documentation and API that can be easily downloaded and updated.
 - A "Research" folder full of just "sandbox quirks" and other general things that I've learned that aren't quite documented.
 - A 'Community' fork of the sbox engine source code that makes building (on linux AND windows) and modifying the engine easier. I wanted my own small edits but ALSO wanted to contribute PRs from that when I want to, so this fork supports that.
 - Autobuilds hotlink to your Steam folder for direct access to the .exe.
 - SAMPLES!! Templates for how to organize your projects in a way that's both professional and makes asking questions from your local llms much faster and easier.
 - (and other goodies!)

## WARNING!!

I do not condone the use of corpo-ai, generative art, or generally anything not FOSS. So some of my plans for this repo include:

 - A engine fork that doesn't depend on steam, at all. (This currently is VERY easy to do btw, but there's more to it if you want a more full-featured experience)
 - Making the INDEX.md file more human-friendly.

This is just a v0.1, feedback is appreciated!!

## Finally:

Local and Free LLMs are pretty cool dawg. I used them to help convert .sh to .bat and to organize some of the knowledge in the /3-Research/ folder. That's it. Hope you can handle some nuance <3
