Turf Wars takes gardening simulator to a whole new level! While during the day you plant your crops and your trees to earn an impressive score and earn your place in the rankings, at night everything can change. Each night, the gloves are off. Any competitor can sabotage the plots of another competitor to make sure that they are left with the most impressive garden. This means that nights require strategy planning - do you go and attack, or stay and defend?
Gameplay Features
- Planting: You can plant a wide variety of crops and plots into your 16 small plots, 9 medium plots, 5 large plots and 1 gigantic plot
- Care for your garden: Your plants require tending to in order to achieve maximum maturity, earning you the best score possible from them
- This includes watering them if the soil gets dry, aerating the soil if the soil gets too soggy, changing the soil if it gets too drained off the right nutrients
- Crops: There's a wide variety of crops in the game which when sold at your produce selling crate will earn you in-game £ to spend on more/better seeds from Mark the Seed Seller on the roundabout in the centre. Which you can then use to upgrade what you've got planted in your garden
- Sabotage: For those wanting to make sure they have the best garden, and therefore the best score, every night the gameplay changes to an all out brawl where competitors can fight each other with baseball bats and sabotage each other's plants to deprive each other of some of their score
- Neighbourhood Watch: Looking over the village is a team of neighbourhood watch patrollers, 2 of them are on foot with flashlights patrolling the street all night, while the 3rd is in a patrolling helicopter that passes in a straight line along a random street multiple times in the night. If any of this team catches you, all players get alerted that you've been spotted out after curfew, so you lose the element of surprise!
Planned Features
- Multiplayer support (I did want to have it to begin with, but some host migration issues need to be resolved first) - it should be the first big update I push out. For now, NPCs are fully equipped to do everything and fully perform the role of competent competitors and will remain to take the place of players when there's not enough in a lobby
- More plant options
- More sabotage options
- Global Leaderboard displays
