Fun "dig the backyard up" kinda game that has a lot of potential.
Suggestions for the developer:
-Flashlight is insanely bright on the surface, like a flashbang; make flashlight dim itself when above ground and become brighter the deeper you go.
-Death penalty is not high enough atm, in the early game it's more economical to die and reset your hp/battery than to buy refills.
-Upgrade curve is too steep from levels 1-2 , going to over 10X the tier 1 cost.
-There is only one earth substrate atm, a drill strength upgrade to drill through increasingly deeper/harder ground would be nice.
-Dynamite has no sound of explosion effect.
-Player's isGrounded detection is kind of bad for the jagged rough floors, you can end up stuck between a few pointy rocks unable to jump or move. Navigation over jagged terrain is also painful and annoying.
-Auto-prune small polygons of earth below a certain area; this solves the constant tiny microscopic bits of earth that block your movement requiring you to find/remove them.
-Base upgrading would be nice, some sort of progression beyond your shovel and gear.
-A completion goal of some sort, to finish the map, and then progress to a new map, maybe of a different biome or harder difficulty somehow.
-More consumable items, maybe a drink for jump height, rope for setting a climbing point, a potion for xray seeing nearby covered valuables, etc.
