I really enjoy the concept of the game, and the core mechanics are there. It just needs more depth and variety, as well as some fine tuning and optimization with the overall game performance.
I think having more materials to build with would help create more options when it comes to designing your raft. I also wish there was a way to save your build to be able to load it in fully assembled for it's cash value, since I pretty much build the same thing on Round One every match and it costs the exact starting amount of cash to build each time anyways. A save and load system would spare me the hassle of scrambling to assemble my Round 1 raft every single time, as well as provide something quick to load in if I join a match in progress with only a few seconds left to build.
Another thing to note is that some of the current materials behave a little unexpectedly. For example, a box cage made out of six fences will stay rooted to the ground when the water rises, since it obviously weighs too much to float. But as soon as I add just a couple of metal sheets to cover the small gap in the top between the two fences the whole thing starts floating up to just below the water line. Metal + More Metal = Float doesn't add up to me personally, but I get this isn't supposed to be a hyper realistic buoyancy simulation or anything.
There also desperatley needs to be more maps, especially ones that are more spread out so that people are incentivized to actually use their raft/boat to get around instead of swimming the short distance over to someone else's raft while tanking the tick damage from being in the water. Also, one of the current maps, Venice, needs some tweaking because there are spots on the map that you can stand on outside of the water in order to survive instead of building a raft at all.
All that being said though I do enjoy the game and will likely come back to it even without any changes being made, but I do think that some more content being added in the form of additional maps and building materials would help complete the experience.
