Still plaguing the game since the s&box networking optimization update, unfortunately. Almost all players connecting will fail a few times until they get in, and most players don't try a second time. Player counts have really gone down.

I hope for Linux binaries soon, if this is a Wine issue after all. If you fail to connect, send logs to me so I can amass more repro info.

This reduction in players of course, makes it less motivating to work on the game. It really is unfortunate.

A bit of news since I wrote this initially; it might have been a completely different thing causing all this, I'm gonna need more people trying to join to confirm if they still get the error. If you do get disconnected, please send me your logs!
I replaced the cutting board crafting spamming E to craft with a proper minigame where you assemble the finished product and chop things required. It probably needs more quality of life, so give your feedback on it!
There's now a new system for consumable visuals, with the first support being the hamburger. With the new cutting board changes, you can more easily select what modifiers you want, which required a reworking of how the pieces were placed in the consumable. Now it stacks automatically regardless of what you put on it!
Doors (both for apartments, businesses, and placeable doors) can now be named individually, adding just a bit more customization.

Because of the backend changes required for this, it'll be easier to add keypad support later on.
Braces can now be attached to objects, chaining things together, like a cash register to a table, to make it harder to steal.
NPCs walking into your business can now buy more than one item at a time.

With a lot of help from the s&box Discord server, I overhauled the main game menu, making categories much more clear with proper tabs at the top.
You can now drop items on the ground by dragging the item outside the window.
Added a woodcutting quest, to guide new players how to cut wood and sell for profit.

All braces can now be removed from an object with the hammer using Ctrl+R
