Mushroom Empire is a relaxing foraging game set in a woodland world. You explore the forest, search for mushrooms, and build your collection by gathering different varieties. Each mushroom has its own rarity, weight, and value; some are common and worth little, others are rare and highly prized.

Five species are available: Porcini, Shaggy Mane, Honey Fungus, Chanterelle, and Death Cap. Most are safe and valuable, but Death Cap is poisonous: each one you pick lowers your total sale price. You need to balance risk and reward and decide when it’s worth taking the penalty.

When your basket is full, return to the shop to sell your harvest and earn money. You can spend it on powerups to improve your runs: a bigger basket, Bargain Skill for higher sell prices, Lucky Picker for heavier mushrooms, and Fungus Sense for a visual guide to the closest mushroom. Upgrades stack, so you can gradually turn your character into a skilled forager.

Your basket contents and powerups are saved automatically, so you can play in short sessions and keep your progress over time. Mushroom Empire supports both single-player and cooperative play in s&box.
