pre-alpha limited playtest:

In Mountain King, the last dwarven outpost has one piece of old magic left. Kaiju roam the land, goblins raid the settlements, and eight dwarves shelter inside a mountain that can wake. You guide them as they dig for iron and gold, grow mushrooms for food and ale, and turn rough tunnels into a fortress worth defending.

Every shaft you dig helps shape the creature you’ll take into battle. When the King pulls itself from the earth, narrow tunnels become whipping tentacles, wider shafts become fists, and the broadest swing like great hammers. The dwarves scramble to their posts. One feeds the catapult its last stones, another mans a magma cannon, and a third kneels at the awakening altar to keep the King alive.

Between battles, you choose a path across a branching hex map. An iron-rich ridge might supply your next weapon, but goblin war drums could leave you little time to build it. Each crossing brings a mini-boss and its minions, until you reach the biome gate and face the boss guarding the next region. Your dwarves carry their carved halls, brewing vats, and battered machinery with them as they fight to reclaim their world.
