Mudskippers, bass, piranhas and catfish join the frogs and bugs as proper nuggets: chicken skin, crispy crumb, the works. Snap one up at the water's edge.
Get to know your neighbours
Look at any dino to see its sex, its size (8/12, 12/12...) and what it's doing right now: wandering, thirsty, looking for food, sleeping, hunting. Look at one of your own species and you'll see whether it can nest with you, and if not, why. Remember: an AI mate has to be in the herd you lead.
Solid ground
Some rocks and cliffs had no collision, so you could walk right into them. They're solid now, and tree trunks collide with their real shape.
A lighter island
We thinned the forests, bushes and reeds, and cleared the grass off beaches, river stones and bare rock. That means smoother frame rates, and multiplayer is lighter too: every player now grows their own plants.
Also in this update
Bigger, sharper rock and bark textures.
Critters can be spotted from three times as far, and there are fewer of them.
