Rivers that make sense
Every river now begins at a spring high in the mountains, winds down to one of the three lakes, and the lakes drain out to the sea. No more water appearing out of a hillside. Along the way the rivers run deeper and wider in places: pools below the falls, slow bends you can actually swim in. The M map has been redrawn to match.
Something in the water
The ocean has Megalodon and Mosasaurus in it now. Deinosuchus patrols the lakes and the river mouths and drags itself up onto the banks to rest. The deep sea floor has reefs: rock outcrops, shelves and pinnacles taller than a Brontosaurus. Dive and have a look. Mind your breath.
Something in the sky
Pterodactyl flocks, Archaeopteryx and Rahonavis now cross the island, land to drink and hunt crickets at the shore, and lift off again when something big walks up.
The edge of the world
Swim or fly out past the island and it just keeps going: an endless sea floor, haze on the horizon, and a current that quietly turns you back before you ever find the map's edge.
Favourite foods
Every species has five favourite foods. Eat one and it counts for one and a half. A Brontosaurus wants tall trees; a Velociraptor wants crickets and catfish; a Megalodon wants everything that swims.
Level 20
Every dino now levels to 20. Your unlocks haven't moved an inch, and you start earning stat points, up to 20 per dino, ready for when spending arrives.
Also in this update
- Peas and carrots. Dinos don't pee any more.
- Broccoli and Ritz cracker power-ups, and power-ups now come back somewhere else when collected.
- Species have home ranges: Brontosaurus herds in the island's centre, raptors in the western woods.
- Herds forgive a light accidental bite, and loners will follow a player of their own kind.
- Half as many carnivores, fewer rocks on land, and the kilometre seams in the terrain are gone.
- Mates and hatchlings no longer turn on their parent after a shared kill.
