Hello S&Box team,


I’d like to report a reproducible performance issue occurring in the main menu of S&Box, which also seems to affect other players.


Issue description


In the main menu, I experience heavy freezes lasting around 2 seconds, happening every ~3 seconds in a loop.


This issue occurs only in the main menu.
Once I load into a game or environment, performance is perfectly smooth with no stutters or freezes.


Reproduction


  • Happens 100% of the time in the main menu


  • Freeze duration: ~2 seconds


  • Frequency: every ~3 seconds


  • No issues in gameplay


  • Other players report similar behavior


System configuration


  • OS:     Windows 11


  • CPU:     AMD Ryzen 5 3500X (6 cores)


  • GPU:     AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT (12 GB VRAM)


  • RAM:     32 GB DDR4 @ 2667 MHz


  • GPU Driver:     Latest AMD Adrenalin version


Graphics & settings tested


  • Display mode:     Borderless Windowed


  • Graphics preset:     Low


  • Anti-aliasing:     4x


  • Motion blur strength:     1


  • V-Sync:     Disabled


I tested multiple settings combinations (low settings, borderless mode, V-Sync off), and the issue remains unchanged in all cases.
