Publish games outside of steam?

So, after knowing that sometime in the future you'll be able to export s&box games and publish them on steam as a separated game, i now have a question. Can i only publish them on steam? Or can i publish them somewhere else? Like on itchio or gamejolt.  Cause i'm a beginner at game dev and i want to learn s&box, but i would like to upload those games outside of s&box and steam (since you need to pay 100 dollars to publish them on steam, and i also want people who doesn't have s&box to try them). Please let me know, thanks.

You can publish them on other platforms, the only restriction right now that I'm aware of is that it has to be published on Steam.
However, this restriction will probably be lifted once Facepunch eventually outgrow the Source 2 proprietary code.
