Doubt about server

--Note: I'm still learning English, sorry for any mistakes 

So I have search about S&box servers, and i don't understand where the servers is located. I need to have a host player, my own server or the S&box have their own server to share with me?

You either host a dedicated server yourself, or allow players to host their own games in a peer-to-peer environment.
