S&box keeps popping up an error saying ’we can‘t find Steam. Is it runing?  We need Steam!' every time il launch iy

I have already purchased the game and my network connection is working perfectly. I'd really appreciate a response from the developer, as I'm sure I'm not the only one running into this problem.
