Do we need to republish old game ?

I saw a post like  this recently, but i cant found it back.

I am the creator of Polguys its kind of an simple game in base, its clearly an FallGuys like games.

I have published the first version a long time ago, and i have a made a total remaster of this game recently, adding news maps, news huds, news sounds, leaderboard, achivement and many more other things

You can even create you own map and have them directly on Polguys.

But when i have published the updated, my game didnt pop anywhere, in no category, in fact it should be an "Game you can Create content" category (sorry not english native)

So my question is do we need to make new version like Polguys 2.0 to make a game get back on track ? 

This game is currently searchable.
If it can be found through a search, that means it's active, and users can play it.
As far as I understand, after the game is updated, it should appear in the "Updated" section.
