Cant change editor preference

been happening for a while but i finally got Visual Studio setup to work how i like and I want to go back to it, however i cannot select any other option other  than VSC, selecting anything just closes the dropdown without changing anything.

Attempted relaunching all aspects of the editor and trying to navigate with keyboard to no success either.

In my case:

1) Editor from drop list must be installed
2) You need to open any project with it at least once

This helped me 1 week ago

But also i have all 3 editors installed which maybe could be one of reasons it worked for me
