I'd like to propose some suggestions below:
- Add like 15 weekly objectives. This might seem like a lot, but with how many games are on S&Box I think it'll allow you to avoid some bad games.
- You just have to do 3 out of the 15 for a reward. This way if there's dead multiplayer games in the list, or the games/achievements just suck, you don't have to do them. It lifts a lot of the pressure annoyance and increases the chances of
- Add re-rolls. Add in some re-rolls. You can either give us a limited amount (like 3), or maybe make it a little rng. Like you can re-roll as many times as you want, but each time the chance of getting another one gets lower. If you're feeling spicy, you could have it lock you out if you use to many re-rolls (terrible idea). Could be fun, the community seems to like gambling anyway.
Here are some optional suggestions that may or may not be good:
- Optional suggestion: Allow us to stash 1 objective at a time to do any week we like. Stashing a new objective would remove the previous one. I just think this would be fun tbh. Like you see an objective for a game and you can be like "lemme put that one away".
- Optional suggestion: Let us select a game to populate like 2-4 of the objectives for. Some games are just your game. The game that you want to play for like 40 hours. I think it'd be nice to allow those players to still earn stuff by supporting their favorite games by playing them.
- Unhinged optional suggestion: Add some friend integration. Maybe you could bet your friends that you'll beat an objective before them and take their reward for the day. This one came to me in a vision tbh, but thought I'd throw it out there 'cause it sounds fun.
- Optional Suggestion (a good one): Have a few objectives be community wide. Like 2-3 out of the 15 could be shared amongst everyone. This will encourage party play, or populating these smaller games. It also will be a nice way to spotlight little gems you'd like people to play and get the community engaging with one another.
I know hearing more criticism for the game is probably pretty tough right now, but the game is slowly heading in the right direction. I love being able to make my avatar a dwarf, I'm liking a lot of the actual games coming out of the platform, and the actual menus and such are getting better and better with time. Little improvements to systems like the weekly rewards I think will snowball into a more positive rep overall.
