I like the new layout a decent bit, but there are some issues with it I immediately noticed:
  • Where are the reviews? I literally cannot find the button to read reviews for a game before playing it. The reviews button was already hard to find, but it's strange to completely remove it imo. I thought reviews were a really nice way to see which games people were passionate about and to give devs feedback. Please add a "reviews" tab or button next to the likes/dislikes.
  • The about section is too small. As you can see in the single player example above (One More Dish), it's waaaaay too small. Even scrolling through the about section on less expressive games, it's clear it's much harder to read in general. I would just put the about section vertically on the left or the right so it's easy to read and scroll through and not this itty bitty box. If it's crazy small like it is currently, it'll encourage devs to put little to no effort into it, which I think is a shame.
  • Dislikes are blue. When you click dislike, they're blue. Make 'em red or something.
EDIT:
Why does the hide button (the 🚫 symbol) not consistently appear on games? I noticed it's on some games, but not others.edited:

EDIT 2:
Taking on additional complaints because the more I use this UI the more I'm noticing stuff that makes it feel not very well thought out/implemented, so the below complaints are more about the current UI in general:
  • Reviews don't keep text formatting like new lines. This is pretty bad because it makes every review look like a giant paragraph, which is dumb.
  • The favorite button ALSO isn't always there when you click on a game? I'm guessing it only appears on games that aren't on the workshop? Genuinely, it feels like this UI was coded with AI and not QA tested the more I use it.
  • Why do some games get the little trailer video and others don't? I imagine this is due to some stuff on the creator's end, but if I see a little video preview, I'd figure I could see that when I click into the game too.
  • Lots of creators still say "unknown".
  • It'd be nice to be able to access the game's forum from the tabs in-game. That way feedback can be given to the creators without having to go to the s&box website or their discord.
  • The multiplayer servers/active multiplayer lobbies should probably be on the homepage somewhere, but that's more of a general UX thing.
