When a game is running inside s&box, it has access to the platform. The store, the avatar system, all of it is sitting right there. But when a game is exported and published as a standalone title on Steam, it's no longer running through s&box at all. It's its own thing.
So does the s&box cosmetic system even exist in that context? Can a standalone title call back to Facepunch's platform to check what cosmetics a player owns, or does that entire layer just not exist outside of s&box?
Has Facepunch said anything about this?
