Don't worry I dumb reacted myself too, how dumb of me to expect you guys to release finished features instead of crap riddled with bugs

I've been trying to get this editor to run properly on Kubuntu for the past couple months without success. I managed to get it to run using a bunch of hacks I found in an article written by a steam community user but, the menu bar at the top was clipped and I could only see the bottom of it, making all the drop menus a mystery and difficult to open.

I just downloaded the latest update, attempted to launch it from my steam library, and was unfortunately greeted with an error message stating the following:

Please verify the s&box installation in Steam.

note: I do not have an S:\ mount on my system.

If I navigate to the s&box directory and execute it manually, it works! It's running in linux! It feels snappier and I can even see the menu bar, which is awesome.

However, when I press the play button to test play the project, it seems to only register mouse movements and ignores mouse clicks and key presses. Is there anyone experiencing this issue or knows of a fix?

i know that it's annoying that the linux editor doesn't work very well, but we'll never get anywhere if you keep complaining like this. this is the first time that Facepunch has actually put forward any meaningful progress towards a working linux build, i don't want them to drop it just because you keep bitching about how lazy and incompetent they are. there are more constructive ways to let Facepunch know that things still need fixing than to insult them

fuckin incompetent facepunch make every possible distro of linux work on day 1 or else
