Immersive Control Scheme
Our camera system combined with procedural animations allows for immersive chess, where your character is the one playing. We worked hard to make a control scheme that is both fun, intuitive and gets out of the way. Whether you're playing rapid, blitz, or bullet, the smart cursor system lets you move fast and with precision.
Modes
- Free Play. Hang out and play with friends in a relaxed lobby, no rankings on the line.
- Arena. Compete against players in your lobby to earn the most points within the time limit.
- Bot Practice. Play against a bot opponent, ideal for warming up, learning the controls, or playing solo.
- Ranked 1v1. Face a single opponent in classic chess matches that count toward your rank and rating. (Coming soon!)
Future development
We will gradually improve both the animation system and the controls customization as we go. We have lots of plans for future game modes and features, but we would love to hear your feedback. Tell us what you would like to see and help us shape Chess (Over The Board).
