This update is all about racing against other players, and it's the one I've been most excited to work on.
Leaderboards on every level
Every level now has its own leaderboard: the tutorial, the whole campaign and every community level too. When you finish a level you'll see the top five times and where you stand. On the level cards you can also see the current record and who holds it, so you know exactly what you're up against before you even start.
Race the record ghost
When you play a level, a see-through ghost of the record holder runs next to you. It's their actual best run, so you can see where they jump, where they take risks and where you're losing time. If you die and respawn at a checkpoint, the ghost goes back to where they were at that moment, so the race stays fair. If you'd rather play alone, you can turn it off in the options.
Beat a record, get a party
Take the top spot on a level and you'll know it: big gold "NEW RECORD!" and confetti everywhere. Many levels still have no record at all, so the first one to finish them gets the party. Go grab them!
Community levels, front and center
The community levels are the heart of this game, so now they're easier to find. The main menu shows a Level of the Day, picked from the featured levels and different every day. When you finish the campaign, the game points you to the community levels and to the editor, so you can keep playing or make your own.
Featured is also open to everyone now: if you publish a level I like, it can end up there, and maybe as Level of the Day too. The first one is "The garden in the sky" by Frost_knightz, the very first level made by a player. Go play it and try to beat his time!
And if you deleted one of your published levels from your editor, you can now download it back from the community page and keep working on it.
Smaller things
You can now turn off the replay of all your attempts at the end of a level, in the options under Attempts Replay. One of you asked for it in a review, so thank you! Reviews really help me, keep them coming. Also the like button on community levels is now a simple thumbs up.
About the difficulty
A few of you told me the levels are easy, and you're right! The current campaign is the first world, made to learn the basics. More worlds are coming, each with new elements and a lot more challenge. And don't forget to play the community levels, the real core of the game!
Thanks for playing, and see you on the leaderboards!
