Your cards finally have something to do: 21 sets to complete, a new minigame, a wishlist and a notification center. Plus everything that changed since launch.
Thanks to everyone who played ! One of the review said the game was “pretty boring”, and honestly, it was right: opening packs was fun, but once they ran out there wasn’t much to do with your cards. Most of what I’ve done since launch tries to fix that, and this update is the biggest step so far.
Your cards now belong to 21 hand-picked sets, built from real Steam data: FromSoftware, Valve online (Counter-Strike, Team Fortress, Left 4 Dead…), Black Mesa and Aperture (Half-Life and Portal), DOOM, Rockstar, Firaxis, the pioneers (games from 2003 or earlier), and more. Some are easy and mostly made of Commons. Others are full of Legendaries and will take a while.
Each set pays at 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%: you claim your credits in Album → Sets, from a few hundred credits for the easy ones to more than 3,000 for the prestige ones. When you finish a set, it shows on your profile for everyone to see.
When a pack gives you a new card that belongs to a set, your progress shows right under it, so every pull can move something forward.
A blurry cover sharpens little by little. Find the game among four names before the 5 seconds run out, and it never gets fully sharp. It starts with games everyone knows, then they get less and less famous. The faster you answer, the more credits you earn, but one mistake and the run is over. Your record is your best streak.
Looking for a specific card? Open it and press “Add to my wishlist” (up to 50 cards). As soon as another player puts it up for sale, or it shows up in the daily sales, you get a notification. Market → My wishlist shows which of your wanted cards are on sale right now.
All your notifications now live behind the bell in the top bar: auctions won, cards sold, outbids, wishlist alerts. Click one to jump to the sale or the card.
Daily sales
Every day the game puts three cards up for auction: a Super Rare, an Ultra Rare and a Legendary. They’re now drawn from set cards, so they’re a good way to fill the gaps in your sets.
Duels are the big one, using your cards attack and defense against other players. I’m still working out how it should play, so it won’t be the very next update.
Also planned: duplicate fusion, the daily challenge, expeditions, and the What Year? minigame. As always, there’s no date yet, and the order depends on your feedback.
Thanks for playing, and for the honest feedback so far. Seeya at the auction house!
