Skill System

  • 7 active skills: Jump, Dash, Shockwave, Teleport, Points x2, Shield, Invisibility
  • Battery system — skills consume battery, recharges over time
  • Skill shop accessible from the selection wheel
  • One skill equipped at a time, activated with C
  • Each skill has configurable sounds and effects

Upgrade Trees

  • Points Branch — 5 levels, earn more points per kill permanently
  • Battery Branch — upgrade max capacity and recharge speed
  • All upgrades are permanent and saved per SteamID
  • Spawn gift: 80 free points on first join

Slot Machine

  • Full slot machine accessible from the selection wheel
  • 5x4 grid with Pay Anywhere system (8+ matching symbols to win)
  • Tumble/Cascade mechanic — winning symbols explode, new ones fall, chain wins possible
  • Cascade multiplier increases with each chain
  • Free Spins — 3+ scatter symbols trigger free rounds
  • Auto Spin mode
  • Adjustable bet with Max Win display
  • Slightly better odds during Free Spins

Zombies

  • 4 visual styles — varied postures and duck levels
  • Sprint behavior — some zombies charge when close to player
  • Hit reaction animation when shot
  • Headshot zone adjusts based on zombie posture

Combat

  • Headshot zone enlarged for better feel
  • Separate headshot multipliers: x2.5 on zombies, x1.5 on players (no more one-shot PvP)
  • Directional blood splatter effect on hit
  • Hit sound variations — multiple random sounds per hit type
  • Screen shake on kills

HUD Redesign

  • Full visual overhaul — Clash Royale inspired style
  • Dark blue panels with gold borders
  • 3D-style orange buttons
  • White text with black outlines for readability
  • Health bar with low HP pulse animation
  • Larger K/D display with dark background
  • Improved battery bar with cyan glow
  • Bigger weapon bar with active slot highlight
  • Combo counter — points stack and fly to score on timeout

Selection Wheel

  • Redesigned with gold borders and dark panels
  • Hub for: Upgrade trees, Skill shop, Slot machine
  • Clearer icons and labels

Weapons

  • Holster/unholster by re-selecting active weapon slot
  • Spawn with empty hands
  • Zoom in/out sounds on right click
  • Weapon equip sounds

Audio

  • New sound direction — gritty, raw, plastic toy aesthetic
  • Custom hit sounds per weapon
  • Sound variations on repeated hits
  • Local audio feedback (hitmarker, kill confirm)

Scoreboard

  • Press Tab to view all players
  • Shows kills, deaths, points, and current streak
  • Local player highlighted in gold

Economy Rebalancing

  • Zombie kill: 8 base points (was 15)
  • Player kill: 40 base points (was 100)
  • Upgrade prices significantly increased for long-term progression
  • Slot machine tuned for ~85% RTP
  • Points branch bonuses reduced to prevent exponential scaling

Fixes

  • Fall damage blocked when toggle is off (was ignoring the setting)
  • Client camera fix in multiplayer
  • Client score now individual (was sharing host score)
  • Crosshair no longer shared between players
  • Weapon inventory properly initializes on spawn
