Full controller support
On-screen button glyphs, with XBOX / PLAYSTATION toggle
Automatic device detection, with a short on-screen notice when you switch between pad and keyboard
The tutorial now teaches both control schemes
The saucer boss now collides with asteroids, shattering rocks it flies into and taking damage from them
Pad layout
Menus are navigated with the D-pad, cross / A confirms, circle / B goes back
Volume sliders can be adjusted with left and right on a controller
Level-up upgrades are chosen with the stick or D-pad and taken with cross / A
The menu highlight remembers where you were on each screen, so leaving a sub-menu and coming back puts you where you left off
Joined co-op players heard no sound at all: shooting, explosions, pickups, level-ups and warnings were completely silent
Bullets and asteroids stuttered for joined co-op players and did not travel in straight lines
The level-up screen could instantly pick a random upgrade, because fire and confirm share a button
The ship fired a shot the moment a run started, carried over from the button press that started it
The menu select sound played twice on a single press
A single button press could act twice, once on the menu highlight and once wherever the cursor happened to be
The screen kept shaking for the whole level-up screen instead of settling
Circle / B did not leave the Shop, though it worked on every other screen
The device notice overlapped the version number in the menu and the quest line in-game
The BUTTONS row was cut off at the bottom edge of the screen
The confirm glyph could be drawn on top of a neighbouring button
Battle Royale is temporarily closed while co-op is stabilised
Battle Royale is unavailable in this build
If your controller does nothing, set this game's Steam controller layout to Gamepad rather than Keyboard (WASD) and Mouse
The left stick also moves the mouse cursor in menus, so menus are navigated with the D-pad
