I feel like the recharge timer for out of combat simply doesn't fit the game. It encourages too much running away after one simple tag, causing chases and missed opportunities. I am adding a Recharge Station so players can jump inside, recharge their tags, and get teleported to another random recharge station on the map. I will be bumping the default tags required to tag out to 5 to give players time to adjust to the recharge stations.

I added wall running instead, and am working on the Recharge Stations still.

I am also adding contested power weapons, inspired from my years of playing Halo. I'm sure I will add other equipment similar to Overshields and Active Camo, but also ones that I'd like to add personally like smoke grenades or grappling hooks. Here are a few ideas:

Pinball Bumper Bolt- A bolt that, instead of going straight, ricochets off every surface at full velocity for 4 seconds before fading. Damages anyone it hits at any point during its bouncing life. You can fire it into a hallway and just watch it pinball around. Unpredictable for both you and the enemy.

Banana Peel Gun - Shoots glowing slip patches that stick to any surface. Anyone running over one slides uncontrollably for a full second in the direction they were already moving. Walking is fine. Sprinting equals chaos. Visually a translucent yellow stain on the floor that's hard to spot at speed. Maybe you'll ragdoll.

Bubble Capture Pod - Fires a small device that, on contact with an enemy, encases them in a translucent floating bubble that drifts upward and gently around the room for 3 seconds. They can shoot from inside it but can't move. Allies can shoot the bubble to free them or pop it from the outside. SHE CAME DOWN FROM A BUBBLE, DOUG!

Inflatable Tube Decoy - Throw a small canister that, on landing, instantly inflates into a full size wacky and waving inflatable arm flailing tube man. Blocks line of sight for 5 seconds, then deflates. When shot, it explosively deflates and wildly whips around due to the depressurization.

Time Bubble - Throw a small device that creates a sphere of slow motion. Everything inside the sphere - bolts, grenades, players - moves at 25% speed. 4 second duration. You can fire bolts INTO the bubble and they crawl through; enemies caught inside can shoot OUT and their bolts return to full speed once they exit.



That being said, another map is in the works - Bigger, 3 lanes, longer fights, more range. Will most likely be used as a practice map for testing contested weapons and equipment/recharge stations. I'm sure a complete overhaul of all the maps is coming soon, but frankly that will take some time so it isn't priority right now.
Power Weapons and Wall Running

  • Added one Power Weapon to the map Mainline (default). Can be located in the center area, and it is a shotgun.
  • The shotgun gets 3 shots until it breaks and auto swaps you to your pistol. Shotguns respawn in 5 seconds.
  • Added wall running. Very basic right now, press space while mid air near a wall to run on the wall and shoot from it as well.
