New look for the first three vehicles: the Offroad Truck, the Baja Bug and the Crew Cab Pickup have been rebuilt with round wheel arches, tidy shut lines between the doors and the body, and no more flickering where parts used to overlap
Glacier Peak has a new 5.8 km mountain trail that leads up to the old valley road, so the whole route is now 16.5 km. It has cliff edges and mud holes, and a service stop (a fuel pump and a repair shop) half way along the trail
Fuel use: every map uses half the fuel it did, so a tank lasts about twice as long. The speedometer shows what the engine drinks right now (litres a minute)
Snow on Glacier Peak: the road turns white as it snows, like the land beside it. Tyre tracks are one continuous line now and only show on ground that is white
The snow that settled on your truck and the heap that rolled up in front of its nose are switched off for now while we rework them
Pine Valley 2 and 3 - two new Expedition maps (7.5 km and 10 km), each longer and harder than the last. Finish one to open the next
Repair kits - press Q for a wheel with a flip kit (back on its wheels) and a part kit (repairs one part to 75%). Buy up to 3 of each in the garage
Repair shop by part - pick which damaged parts to fix and pay only for those, or repair everything at once
Studded Winter and Snow Chains - two new tyre sets for ice and snow, with their own look
Parking brake - the N key holds the truck on a slope
Hide the HUD - the H key for clean pictures and videos
Solid axles - Offroad Truck, Trail Crawler and Bog Runner have solid front and rear axles, Crew Cab Pickup and Camper Van a solid rear axle
Small rocks give a little - a loose rock is pressed into the ground under a tyre
Menu feel - click and tick sounds, a coin when you buy, camera shake in crashes, a finish card that counts up with confetti
Kit and service effects - a puff of smoke when a kit is used, a hose at the fuel pump, sparks when a part is fitted in the garage
Truck physics - every wheel has its own speed and the tyre pushes by how much it slips, so spinning tyres dig in on mud and ice and the brakes stop short of locking
Weight - the engine sits up front on most trucks, so the front axle carries more weight
Differentials - with the lock off a wheel on ice limits its axle, with it on the driven wheels turn as one
Soft ground - wide tyres float higher on mud and snow, narrow ones cut in, and a truck that sinks to its belly drags on it
Tyres - every set has its own grip on snow, ice, wet ground and mud
Map list - Pine Valley is one card with 1, 2 and 3 buttons
Collisions - logs, stumps, snow and Hollow trees and one rock now fit their real shape, so no more invisible bumps
Menus - the garage panel and the main menu cards no longer cover each other
Multiplayer - the cargo, mud and headlights of other players are now visible
Custom painted rims turned white in mud
The inside of the all-terrain and mud-terrain tyres was open
The truck on the main menu slid about on the snow
The paint colour mixer stayed open after leaving the garage
Crashes are a bit harsh on the truck and the physics is still being tuned: more fixes in about 10 days
Engine smoke: a hurt engine starts to smoke grey, and a dead one pours out black smoke
A new garage: every vehicle is a card with its picture
Four new vehicles on show, coming soon: Camper Van, Trail Crawler, Dune Buggy and Bog Runner
New stylised trees: conifers, larches, maples and pink blossom trees
Real tyres: every wheel now has its own collision
Haul Jobs opens sooner: the community goal is now 10,000 km in Expedition (it was 500,000)
Softer, more realistic suspension over rocks and edges
Walls and rock faces now stop the tyre instead of launching the truck
The land now continues behind the start line instead of ending in nothing
Trucks flying into the air after hitting a rock or a wall with the nose or the tail
Trucks tipping over at the start of Red Canyon
Trucks righting themselves on their side or roof: roll over and you stay over, use the winch to get back on your wheels
The old 500,000 km Haul Jobs goal
Rock gardens are still rough on the suspension if you take them fast
A truck can get stuck on a big rock when climbing slowly: reverse and try another line, or use the winch
Bumping into friends' trucks in multiplayer can still feel odd
The truck on the main menu can slowly creep on the slope
