Rust Legacy now has official dedicated servers. They run day and night, hosted in France, and you find them in play game > servers:

Both hold 64 players, and the world keeps running when nobody is online. 

Legacy rules, nothing changed: PvP on, sleepers stay asleep in the world and can be killed, buildings decay when left alone, hunger, cold, bleeding and radiation, 45 minute days and 15 minute nights. This is the one to play if you want the real thing: gather, build, defend, raid. 

Same island, but everybody gets the admin menu (press / by default). Give yourself any item, spawn animals and resources, build freely, change the time, teleport, fly.

It also means anybody can kick, kill or teleport other players. It’s a playground, not a place to build a base you care about. Expect chaos, and have fun with it. 

 Neither server is wiped on a schedule. Your base, your boxes and your sleeping character stay where you left them, and the world is saved every minute. Decay still removes abandoned buildings, so the island doesn’t fill up forever.

If you’d rather have wipes (every month, every two weeks, with a game update, only on #1...), say so: I can set it up. Tell us on Discord or in the comments what you’d like, and we’ll pick what most of you want. 

 

 Open the game, play game, servers, double click one. Star it to keep it at the top.
