It's the first blog since the official s&box release happened on April 28, 2026 !
This week was mainly focused on bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements. Since some players still have no idea what to do, I always question myself when making changes to improve the game.

Here's a look :
We brought back our old project_m map, originally made for the first game jam on s&box. It's an old textured map that doesn't represent how the game will look in future maps, but it allows players to play on a more visually complete map.

With this new map, I added a vote map at the end of the game in order to replay the map or switch to our WIP map.



I added a new temporary orbital camera when the player spawns for the first time to indicate what the player has to do : kill (or defend) the constructron !
With the recent attack/defense switch, I implemented the possibility for attackers to break resources in order to more easily get gold and build constructions.

Gadgets :

I changed the shop menu CSS to incite players to buy more gadgets. In the next updates, we will focus on adding more gadgets to create new, fun gameplay experiences. So this buying experience needs to be clear and incentivizing.

- Fixed wrong team color on notifications 
- Crosshair fix (the FPS issue is still pending) 
- The Facepunch Ambient Occlusion post-process has been fixed
- Other fixes that I don’t remember
