checkpoints in this dont work for me which basically make this a no go.... the jumping in this feels terrible, but thats not really the devs fault, thats just the way the movement feels in this engine unfortunatley, they compeltley GUTTED the original source movement feel which sucks. the instant acceleration when moving and the really loose slidey feel to the movement in the air just makes it all around terrible for this sort of thing unless you completley rehaul the character controller and make one from scratch, but even then itll be a REAL chore to make it any better tbh i did see a really in depth video on youtube on how exactly source calculates the movement in their games but like i said, itll be a REAL chore to port that logic over to this engine. if someone was to make an ACTUAL source movement controller im sure tons of people would be super happy though haha
