Apocalypse Ride game · 4 Hours Ago Needs Work
It's not bad, it's just not good enough. Objects floating off walls, skirting boards misaligned, the garage door is too small for it's own frame, the kind of polish issues that break immersion the moment you spawn in. Some cars have floating lights because parts of the body hasn't loaded in or hasn't been set up correctly. There's an upgrade system you can access to get upgrades for your car which doesn't seem to exist, it says "go to the office PC" but I've looked around the starting area 3 times and there isn't one, which leaves me to think I need to grind around 20 runs to get a new car and hope there's another area past this one with the PC in it, but that's just speculation. Showing cars you don't own and can't access yet makes no sense. The UI looks like it was made with Claude. It's out of place, generic, and indistinguishable from half the other games on s&box. The core gameplay loop is holding W. That would be okay... if it felt good. It doesn't. Zombies Jolt you car on impact in a way that feels broken rather than satisfying, which somehow makes the simplest possible game loop feel bad. I was also going to say "not a bad concept" but someone else's review pointed out that this is just an Earn to Die clone. So it's a stolen concept executed poorly. s&box is dying and it needs developers willing to actually raise the bar, this doesn't however.

Really cool concept for a game, but it's obviously still a bit unpolished when it comes to the guns, animations and enemy variety, and so on. That said, it's definitely fun, and it would be better with more people playing.

Rocket League but on s&box. Main gamemode is fun and you can now play around solo because of the latest big update. A bit rough around the edges. Textures glitch on some maps. Gamemode where you have to pop the bubbles is basically just RNG, I had a 100% win rate against the dev and he just kept rechallenging me until he kicked the ball in a random direction to finally get a win on me (I was doing the same thing). "Bursts my w*lly bro."

Literally just Cut Grass from Roblox but uglier and UI which looks like it was made with AI and somehow running worse on Source 2. The worst part is this was like one of the only games people could come back to at launch, this was s&box's showcase. Grass looks terrible which is funny considering that's the whole point. Map is bland, runs like ***, end game players can spawn camp you into oblivion. Gambling systems is just time padding dressed up nicely. Basically for 30 year old white guys who say Roblox is kids then boot this up. It's literally just a Roblox game ported onto s&box.

One of the only s&box games actually worth you time. Deep skill system with loads to mess around with, great weapon animations, and intuitive attack system where your mouse position changes your swing and stab direction, V V cool mechanic! Plenty still to be implemented but the foundation is solid. Main dungeon ends just as your build gets interesting which is a shame. A repeating scaled stage for older characters would be nice, even if its just their skills and not their gear because of the SteamID data saving limits, but im sure this is already being considered.
