Good morning. You are hungry. The eggs know.

Break eggs. Spend their yolk on something worse to hit them with. Then crack the sky, because the sky is also an egg.

Eggsistential is a first-person incremental about breaking eggs, and about the eggs having opinions about it. You wander a tablecloth that goes on forever with a spoon in your hand. They scream. They beg. They mourn their friends by name, and they remember you next time. Every egg spills yolk, and yolk buys a whisk, then a frying pan, then an anvil, then The Concept of Breakfast. Keep going and the sky starts to crack.

And between the smashing: a house to furnish, an island to fish at, a breakfast to climb, and one giant egg that every player breaks together.

New: buried treasure. Messages in bottles at Yolk Atoll now hold three treasure maps. Find the X on the sand, dig up the chest, and find out who the Captain was. Also new: the Fish board, where every catch counts on a leaderboard of its own. Also on: Halloween, until November 12.

🥄 Smash eggs, collect yolk

Click to crack. Hold the button and keep swinging. Chain breaks into combos for bonus yolk, and crits hit ×3 for double yolk.
8 utensils, each worse than the last. Spoon, Whisk, Rolling Pin, Frying Pan, Meat Mallet, Anvil, A Bigger Egg (it is also afraid) and The Concept of Breakfast, which hits like a Monday.
The Yolk Exchange. 11 upgrades: stronger wrists, a twitchier elbow, longer arms, shockwaves that crack the eggs nearby, richer yolk, and more eggs falling from the sky. From where? Up.
Hire help. Chicks peck eggs for you (they're paid in exposure), Chick Bootcamp makes them peck harder (they have seen things), and Haunted Forks dive at the rest. Your help keeps working while you're away in the house, on the island or up the Climb.

🥚 Ten kinds of egg, all of them nervous

Nine more to unlock. Brown and Speckled Eggs, Runner Eggs that grew legs and use them, smug Golden Eggs, Eggtryoshkas with three eggs inside, Devilled Eggs that explode in chain reactions, Eye Eggs that watch you, and the Void Egg, which contains a small universe. Probably fine.
YOLK O'CLOCK. Break a Clock Egg and eggs rain from the sky while yolk doubles.
Mother Eggs. Crowned bosses with names like Humpty's Landlord, Yolanda the Vast and The Oval Office.
They talk. Pleas, puns, grief, the occasional threat, and a narrator who is not on your side. Every few minutes the eggs start humming together. Don't make eye contact.

🌅 Crack the sky, hatch, wake up in another egg

The sky is an egg. Every drop of yolk cracks it a little more. Once it's cracked through, hatch: your yolk and upgrades are gone, you get feathers, and you wake up in the next shell. It is always another egg.
8 permanent perks. Feathers buy Ancestral Wrist and Warm Nest with no level cap, plus Old Friends, Thin Sky, Heirloom Utensil, Golden Genes, Long Hour and Frequent Mother. Changed your mind? Refund them and spend again.
4 worlds, each with its own sky, props and music: The Breakfast Plain, The Nest of Hours, The Albumen Sea and The Hen's Dream. Then round again, stranger each time, down to shell 200: the bottom of the egg.
No wall. Balanced with players who went past shell 100, so deep shells take minutes, not hours.

🔍 12 oddities

Some eggs hold something that isn't yolk. A Tiny Businessman (he has a meeting at three; he is late), a Floppy Disk with 1.44 MB of breakfast, The Moon (small; please put it back)... Each one is worth +5% yolk forever, and one of them is The Chicken. Which came first? This one did.

👁️ The eggs know you

They know your name, and they use it.
They know what time it is, how long you've been playing, and how long you were away. Stop for half a minute and one will ask where you went.
They remember the eggs you broke last time, by name. So does the Wall of the Fallen.

🏠 A house in an egg

Your own egg-shaped room to walk around, furnish and decorate. Hang things on the curved walls, put rugs down, move it all around.
17 things to buy with yolk, from a fried egg rug to a yolk fountain: an egg cup armchair, a nest bed, a Tele-Vision, The Thinker (Egg), a grandfather clock that ticks when you're near, and a cuckoo clock whose chicken comes out every 30 seconds.
Trophies you earn: the Wall of the Fallen, a portrait of the last Mother Egg and her crown, a display case for every oddity, a mount for every fish, a treasure chest and a ship in a bottle, a shard of the World Egg and the Summit Flag.
Visitors. Eggs knock, come in, look at your things and say what they think of them. Some of them knew the eggs you broke. None of them like the fridge ("My uncle went in there. He's still in there.").

🎣 Yolk Atoll

Sail to an island: a ring of sand around a lagoon of yolk, in a sea of egg white. Then fish.
15 fish to catch, from the Sunny-Side Ray and Eel Benedict to the Void Bass and two legends: the Fabergé Guppy and The Mother Roe. Each lives in its own water (the yolk lagoon, the white sea or the deep), at its own time of day, and likes its own bait.
Easy to pick up. Click to cast, click when it bites, hold to reel, and let go when a big one runs. A better rod tames them.
A day every 7 minutes. Dawn, day, dusk, and a night with stars, a glowing lagoon and a lighthouse. Old Yolker sits on his bucket by the dock and gives you riddles about where each fish hides.
6 baits and 5 rods, from Bread Crumbs to Gold Leaf and from Twig & String to The Golden Spoon. Every kind you catch gets a mount for your house.
The Fish board. Every catch counts on its own leaderboard. The island shows your place and how many more catches pass the next player, and Old Yolker notices when you do.
Buried treasure. Some messages in bottles hold a map of the island with a red X. Find the spot, dig, and a chest comes up out of the sand: a Golden Bobber for your line, a ship in a bottle for your house, and one more thing somebody has been looking for for forty years.

🧗 The Climb

A first-person platformer, from the main menu: about 40 jumps and 50 m up a breakfast floating in the sky, from a dinner plate to the top of a tower of pancakes.
Breakfast contraptions. A toaster that pops you up a floor, a frying pan that ferries you, a Ferris wheel of teacups, jelly that throws you, bacon bobbing in a wave, a spoon that flings you, eggshells that crack under your feet, a spinning birthday cake and a teapot's steam.
Forgiving. 10 nests to come back to when you fall, and eggs along the way with advice (some of it good).
8 golden eggs hidden off the path.
The Summit Egg waits at the top with a flag in her head. Smash her, then do it faster: The Climb has its own leaderboard of fastest times.
One level for now. More are coming.

🌍 The World Egg

One giant egg for everyone. It sits on the title screen, and every egg anyone breaks chips at it, chicks and forks included.
When it breaks, everyone's yolk goes up 10% for good, new players too, and a bigger one takes its place.
Helped break one? You get A Piece of the World for your house, and an achievement.
World Egg No. 1 broke on October 31, a day after it appeared.

🎃 Halloween

Every year from October 15 to November 12. Jack-o'-Eggs (trick or treat?) and Ghost Eggs that hover under a bedsheet and shout BOO! when they break.
A dusk sky, bats, falling leaves, giant jack-o'-lanterns, and the sun wears a witch's hat.
A Jack-o'-Lanternfish at the atoll, three spooky things for the house, and an achievement: Trick or Treat.

42 achievements, synced with your s&box account: from The Sky Flinched (break your first egg) to Which Came First and Every Fish in the Sea.
6 leaderboards: eggs broken, yolk earned, best combo, deepest shell, The Climb's fastest times and fish caught, for everyone or just your friends.

⚙️ Good to know

Comfort options: turn off screen flashes (the Void Egg's colour inversion too) and screen shake, and pick the UI size, the pixel resolution and the mouse sensitivity.
Made by the game. Every sprite is generated when it starts, a software renderer draws it all in crunchy dithered pixels, and the music is composed as you play, with its own sound for each world, the island and the Climb.
