The Junkyard - a third dig site: 50 layers under Rudy's junkyard, with brick, grey gravel, scrap and crushed cars
Scrap - scrap blocks pay a little every time you hit them, not only when they break
Crushed cars - only the pickaxe breaks them; rigs and Biscuit leave them to you
The Old Quarry - a fourth dig site: 60 layers of limestone, dark basalt, silver and coal under an old stone quarry
TNT crates - break one and it blasts every block around it, and sets off other crates nearby; rigs keep away from them
Story - Uncle Rudy has new radio lines for both sites, and each one has something at the bottom
Old Bones' map - the last two pieces of the first map
Junkyard row - 10 new skills, open once you clear the Orchard: Shockwave IV, Car Crusher, Power Drill, Heavy Bits, Turbo Fans, Scrap Magnet, Scrap Dealer, Salvage, Safe Cracker and Fetch
Old Quarry row - 10 new skills, open once you clear the Junkyard: Blasting Caps, Rock Splitter, Hammer Drill, Tungsten Bits, Steam Engine, Demolition Crew, Silver Lining, Blast Pay, Strongbox and Dig Dog
More levels - Crit Chance, Crit Damage, Splash Damage, Hand Drill and Rig Cooling have 30-34 more levels each
Upgrade icons - the upgrade and tab icons are new 3D models in the rigs' style
Upgrade rows - prices never wrap, and the level sits at the end of the values line so long names fit
Damage numbers - one number per block that adds up as you and your rigs hit it, instead of a stack of numbers
Skill tree - the branch and row names are easier to read
Late game - much less lag deep in a dig with many rigs: fewer objects made while digging and a cheaper interface
Camera - the camera no longer swings past the next layer and back after a slow frame
The Orchard - a second dig site: 55 layers under an apple orchard, with its own grass, soil, mossy rock, gold and rare crystals
Roots - root blocks run down through several layers; break the top of a root and the one below it has half its health
Old Bones' map - Biscuit's treasure holds a torn corner of an old map, and each new site's treasure holds another piece
Site map - the map lies on Rudy's table; click it to pick where to dig next, see each site's layers and best time, and dig a cleared site again
Story - Uncle Rudy has new radio lines for the Orchard, and there is something at the bottom
Rudy's lot - the first dig site is rebuilt: Rudy's house, the street, cars and trees around a cleared lot
Light - warm evening light baked in Blender, with shadows on the ground, on the pit walls and on the blocks
Shadows - blocks shade the blocks around them, and rigs and Biscuit cast soft shadows
Pit walls - the walls of the pit show the rock layers of the site you are digging
Climb up - a button in the sidebar takes the camera up for a wide view of the town while the rigs keep digging
Layer meter - the meter shows the site's rock layers as blocks, with the layer you are on
Stats page - the game menu has a Stats page: play time, digs, blocks, clicks, money, crits, chests and each site's best time
Apple of My Eye - clear the Orchard
Biscuit - with Dig Buddy he digs with you and jumps into the treasure pit when the last block breaks; there is only ever one Biscuit
Treasure pit - the floor under the treasure no longer flickers
Rigs - rigs are quieter when you look at the town from above or at the map
Size - the game files are smaller even with two dig sites: about 86 MB
Backyard - the old backyard is replaced by Rudy's lot
Round number - the layer meter no longer shows the dig number (your digs are on the Stats page)
Skill tree - 42 skills in four branches: Pickaxe, Rigs, Fortune and Biscuit
Rows by depth - new rows open at layers 12, 25 and 40; the Next dig row and Biscuit's branch open from your second dig
Frenzy - fast clicking fills a meter; when it is full, every swing crits for a few seconds
Treasure chests - chest blocks on some layers pay part of the layer's value, some of them golden
Fortune - Layer Bonus, Interest, Lucky Strike, Jackpot and Bargain
Dig Buddy - Biscuit digs with you, sniffs out chests and turns up bones
New rig - a drill pod on four legs with a spinning bit
Skills you can see - rig skills change the bit's shape and recolour the rig
Seventh rig - a skill adds one more rig to the six you can build
Crit Chance, Crit Damage and Splash Damage - new pickaxe upgrades
Shockwave - a skill that spreads your hit to the blocks around it
Treasure pit - Biscuit waits in a pit in the bedrock under the last layer, and the scene is longer
Results card - your time, blocks, money, chests, biggest crit and skills, compared with your best dig
Golden chest - later digs end with a golden chest and a dig bonus
Game menu - Esc opens a sidebar with your progress, best time, music and sound volume, credits and New game
Welcome back - the same menu greets you when you continue a save
Researcher - learn every skill in the skill tree
Tinkerer - now unlocks when you learn 10 skills
Pixel cracks - blocks crack in pixel-art stages from the middle of the top edge
Layers - rock comes in bands with iron veins; gems and rare crystals appear from your second dig
Aiming - aiming at empty space no longer mines the blocks next to it
Outline - a thinner outline on the block under the cursor
First dig - a gentler start and many small upgrade levels; the first dig takes about an hour to an hour and a half
Rigs - stronger rigs that do about half of the digging by the middle of the dig
Late game - the last upgrade levels cost more, for a final push to the bottom
Sidebar - Pickaxe, Rigs and Skills tabs in one sidebar on the left; the camera keeps the chunk centred
Tooltips - every upgrade explains what it does
Volume sliders - new sliders you can click or drag
Rig Engines - rigs already find their way well, so the upgrade is gone
Workshop - crafting and materials are gone; ores pay money instead
Save carries over - materials become money, crafted parts become skills, extra rigs and Rig Engines levels are refunded
Achievements - 8 to unlock: First Swing, Six Feet Under, Halfway Down, Good Boy, One More Round, Hands Free, Tinkerer and Gem Hunter
Earned already - continue a save from before this update and the achievements you have earned unlock
Fold windows - the button in the corner of the Pickaxe, Rigs and Workshop windows folds them down to a single line
Folded summary - a folded upgrade window shows how many upgrades you can afford; a folded Workshop keeps your materials and shows when a part is ready
Maxed out - an upgrade window folds itself when you buy its last upgrade
Remembered - folded windows stay folded when you continue your save
New game button - the New game button in the pause menu is now red, so it is harder to click by mistake
Play stats - the game records how deep you dig and how long you play, to help balance future updates
Unused art - an old wood UI skin, unused models, textures and sounds, making the download smaller
Leftover options - the jam's leftover look and rig-design options, which were no longer used
Autosave - progress saves every 30 seconds, on every cleared layer, when you pause and when you quit
Continue - pick up where you left off from the title screen, or start a New game
Next round - finishing the dig carries your progress into the next round, even if you quit during the credits
Pause menu - press Esc while digging: music and sound volume, save status, New game, and the s&box menu
Welcome back - Uncle Rudy greets you when you continue a save
Esc menu - on the title and the credits, Esc opens the s&box menu (settings, quit)
Lighting - no harsh side light, and rigs are no longer shiny
Pit walls - the earth around the mine is solid all the way down
Missing UI - magenta panels, icons and fonts in the published game
Numbers - garbled damage and money numbers
Green screen - the camera clipped into the ground around layers 8-16
Floating ground - green ground shelves hung beside the pit when digging deep
Music and sounds - no music or sound effects played in the published game
Dev buttons - developer and testing buttons that were visible in the game
Click to dig - mine a 7x7 chunk, 60 layers deep, one layer at a time
Any face - hit the top or the side of any exposed block on the active layer
Cracking blocks - dirt, stone, copper, iron, granite, gold, gems and deeper ores crack as you hit them
