Hey Everyone!

S&Box is now out, and so is my first ever game on this platform1
It was definitely a journey.

At first i started with Godot. I created PSX shaders and so forth to get the feel down for my game. Then took a massive long break due to work but in the end i was made redundant last year April and haven't been able to find work since (Tough market). Way before Godot, I was told to make my game in S&box but I refused. Since the redundancy, Might Bricks (Papa Brickolini & such) told me to move my project to S&box and in the end i caved in...

Here we are though, first version of The Festering - Withdrawals! It is a start to "The Festering" as a whole but i do have big dreams for these titles due to always wanting to make a game about mental struggles.

Now, what does the future hold for this title???

Right now, i am quite happy with its state, though I would like more weapons to be added in, like an SMG, Rifle and more pistol/shotgun variants. Then to redo the enemies animations, add extra enemies in and do a lot more level room prefabs. Though I will be taking a quick break other than fixing bugs that may arise, and then going into the planning stages for the next Festering title (Hint, it'll be a co-op/multiplayer horror game).

  • Multiple Enemy Types i.e: Shotgun, Pistol, Two Handed Melee, One Handed Melee.
  • Basic Tutorial.
  • Scoring.
  • Leaderboards for Normal Runs (Death and Wins) and then Endless mode.
  • Up to 25 achievements as of now, that can all be viewed in the main menu.
  • Everything is using a custom shader, so the void and other effects can all work together.
