⚠️ Price s&box

I read a short interview with Garry and Alistair to PC Gamers. I know that FP are more competent and will be able to set the price they deem appropriate themselves, but there's no harm in just making a suggestion.

Imo, $10 would be the ideal price for s&box (few games, insanely little content, poor documentation, and optimization issues. Yes, all of this will be fixed, but April is clearly not enough time)

The extra 10 dollars is a convenience fee because of how many preset assets and resources that are available.

I think 20 euros would be a fair price. You’d get access to a full engine and a game platform similar to GMod/Roblox with the Source 2 sauce. It would also help discourage cheaters and trolls a bit because of the price barrier. My only hope is that S&box doesn’t end up repeating what happened with GMod, where we had hundreds of variations of DarkRP and nothing else. It would be great to see more variety with different kinds of games and modes instead.

FP could make the game itself free, but the editor DLC paid. This would allow players to play for free and only pay for game development.

I'm egotistical and greedy, so I also want the editor to be paid and the game free, it would be dumb though, I'd rather just have both free, or both cost

I'm afraid Garry already made up his mind. I remember he shared on twitter how he loved mojang office and wanted to make something similar. I guess its not the only inspiration he took.

$25–$35 seems like a fair price to me

$20 sounds reasonable

Just get sbox now so you dont cry later spending money.
