It still incentivizes people to make great stuff.
The better the game, the likely it gets greenlit to earn playfund.

In theory this could work, but the problem is, who can vote? Everyone? Then youtubers and big communities instantly get shitty games accepted. If only FP, then... well.... not gonna say whats happen then...

if they have dedicated people to review games that's already better
steam also has curators and such.

I don't think the monetization system in its current state can support stable platform expansion.
Payfound is cool, but Id probably prefer something similar to Robux.

Green light is shit idea

This goes against the original vision that Garry wanted for the PlayFund.

He wanted Natural Selection and the free market of ideas to compete for it. Its the capitalist approach for people to make better games on their platform.

GreenLight is a good idea on paper but doesnt work unless you have a scaled playerbase that can vote for it, including
it being open to manipulation bias.

Maybe orgs with greenlit games can vote
