This game is pretty fun! I quite enjoyed the fast, frenetic nature of the game. There's a lot of fun to be had trying to master each level to go as fast as possible. The guns feel pretty good for the most part, and I really like the few extra animations enemies have reacting to you showing up.
The level design is pretty fun, and the music bops as well.
My only real complaints are the following:
- Guns feel strangely inaccurate. This may be due to getting shot making you flinch, or the crosshair just being a tad too open.
- You can't tell where you're being shot from. It would help if the red recording effect was directional on the edges of the screen instead of static, as it is currently.
- Enemies can be difficult to see due to the darkness. I like that the faces are censored, so perhaps the censoring effect can be changed from a black square to a black square with a red outline? This way enemies always stand out. It'd help as well if the last enemy in a level was highlighted through walls, or something similar.
- Mantling feels like it works a tad too low. Like my character needs to be at hip height to mantle sometimes. Making it a bit more generous would make the game feel a good bit better in the sections that ask you to platform.
I want to stress that most of these issues are relatively minor and easy to fix. Game is otherwise fantastic and a good time.
